Sundance Ice Installation | Park City, UT
Every year in the heart of winter, movie stars, screen writers, producers, and directors descend on Park City to witness the acclaimed Sundance Film Festival.
Each year several art installations grace many of the film screening venues, reflecting the sensory feast that lasts for only two weeks.
Commissioned to design and create one of the art installations we risked frostbite and hypothermia spending long days in a walk-in freezers, prototyping ice columns. The result was spectacular... until global warming kicked in and mother nature subsequently rebelled.
With no snow and above freezing temps our efforts proved futile and our vision literally melted away before it could make its pre-silver screen debut.
